We may collect the following nonpublic personal information

- Information, such as coverage amounts you may have or seek, policy expiration, current carrier, employment status and or occupation, credit union or financial institution affiliation;
- Information required by the insurance company, including application information, and
- Information about the insurance policies you purchase.
We may disclose the information described above to
- Insurance companies as needed to fulfill your request;
- To others only if you consent, or as permitted by law.
How is information you provide used?
Our intent is to provide you with an accurate no obligation insurance quote. Having appointments with 50 national and regional carriers in California and appointments with 24 national and regional carriers in Texas allows us to compare the carriers we represent with your particular circumstances and needs to ensure that the quote we provide meets your request. Each insurance company has its own underwriting criteria for determining an acceptable risk. Depending upon the carriers characteristics and requirements your information may be used to request a credit report, claims/loss history, motor vehicle accident/violation report, and property profile from a third party, or to verify other information you have provided.
Should you decide to apply for a particular insurance policy after obtaining a quote, you may be asked for additional information needed to complete the insurance application.
If you decide to not apply for insurance at the time of initial the quote, the information you have provided will be used for follow up letters, phone calls, and or e-mails with new quotes for future policy renewals.
If you were referred to our agency by a third party whether you purchase insurance or not, personal nonpublic information will not be shared without your consent. No personal nonpublic information will be shared with any other third party except to request a credit report, claims/loss history, motor vehicle accident/violation report, and property profile, or to verify other information you have provided.
How to correct information that you have provided.
If you find that any of the information was in error after your quote request has been submitted, you can change the information by either resubmitting your quote request, e-mailing the correction, or talking to one of our licensed insurance agent employees.
Data Security
All data obtained to prepare a quote or agency management policy information retained to service your insurance policy through our office is maintained on data servers under the control of Realty Support Services, Inc. Servers are maintained in a secure restricted access environment. Data from branch locations is transmitted by encrypted VPN transmission. All users access data using unique assigned passwords to restrict access to only data files they have security rights to access. All data files are backed up nightly.
Internet Sites
Our agency and affiliated companies use a number of internet sites to provide online insurance quotes; calins.com, stwideins.com, and cumembersins.com use the information gathered to create a complete quote profile for you. Through our affiliation with various credit unions and financial institutions you may access our site via a link from their site.
Protecting Information obtained through the Internet
All sites that gather personal nonpublic information use the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. When you enter or leave a protected site that uses SSL you will be notified by an Alert Dialogue Box. Information entered is encrypted as it travels between your computer and our servers. With this encryption it is very difficult for others to access the personal information transmitted.
Links to Third Party Insurance Sites
Some lines of coverage that we offer require direct links to the insurance company or rating service sites. If you submit information on the site, if necessary they will provide information to our office pertaining to your visit.
Site Usage — Cookies
We do not gather anonymous information and do not share "traffic data" with any third parties.
Quoting
Our system offers the ability to request a quote anonymously. There is no requirement that you register or login prior to requesting a quote. You are under no obligation to accept or respond to the quote given. As noted above we will share the information you have provided with third parties to obtain a complete and accurate quote for you based upon the information you have provided.
Quote Follow up
After you have requested a quote from our Internet site you will be contacted by the communication method you selected; mail, e-mail, phone, and or fax by one of our licensed insurance agent employees.
Changes to the privacy statement
If we change the way we treat any nonpublic personal information, we will:
- Post a revised privacy policy at this location; and or
- Attempt to notify you through the communication method you selected providing you an option to opt-out of the process.
